Why can’t I get voice notifications from my Miele domestic appliance to my Google Nest Hub?

To hear voice notifications on your Google Nest Hub that your Miele domestic appliance has finished a process (e.g. “Your washing machine is done”), check a few settings.

1. Google Home app: activating voice notifications

   • Open the Google Home app.

   • Select your Miele domestic appliance.

   • Go to the Settings (cog wheel symbol).

   • Make sure that Voice notifications are activated.

2. Google Home app: assigning rooms

   If your Google Nest Hub does not send voice notifications about the status of a Miele domestic appliance, it may help to group the Miele appliance and the Google Nest Hub in the same room in the Google Home app.

   2.1. Google Nest Hub

   • Call up the Google Nest Hub in the Google Home app.

   • Go to the Settings (cog wheel symbol).

   • Select the Appliance information.

   • Select a room under Appliance location.

   2.2. Miele domestic appliance

   • Call up the Miele domestic appliance in the Google Home app.

   • Go to the Settings (cog wheel symbol).

   • Add the Miele domestic appliance to a home and select the same room as for the Google Nest Hub.

   • Alternatively, tap on Room and select the same room as for the Google Nest Hub.

   • Save the settings.

Additional tips

• Google Assistant: Ensure that the Google Assistant is activated on your Google Nest Hub.

• Volume: Check the volume of your Google Nest Hub.
