Why does the washing machine need to run through a particular wash programme after a RemoteUpdate?

Some RemoteUpdates activate new settings for the washing machine which require a recalibration immediately after the RemoteUpdate.

For example, the Cottons 90 °C programme must be run without laundry in order to recalibrate a washing machine.

The programme generally takes around 2 hours and cannot be interrupted.

The washing machine must run through the programme in full for the recalibration to be successful and for the machine to work correctly after the RemoteUpdate.

Before starting the RemoteUpdate, keep in mind that the entire process will take around 2 hours.

Use the washing machine controls to start the RemoteUpdate immediately or wait until later.

Depending on the washing machine model, you can postpone the RemoteUpdate as follows:

• Washing machines with time display only: touch the  sensor control.

• Washing machines with single-line text display: touch the  sensor controls until Later appears on the display and confirm with OK.

• Washing machines with touch display: touch Later.

You will be prompted to carry out the RemoteUpdate the next time the washing machine is switched on.

The RemoteUpdate will keep being offered until it is carried out.
