Bagged or bagless Vacuum Cleaner

Bagged or bagless Vacuum Cleaner

Vacuum cleaner bag filter change indicator indicates full bag

The timestrip® filter change indicator shows that the vacuum cleaner bag needs to be changed despite it having been changed only recently.

The airways are blocked.

Switch the vacuum cleaner off using the On/Off foot switch.

Remove the mains plug from the socket.

Disassemble the floorhead, hose, handle and telescopic tube.

You can carefully push large items which are jammed in the hose or in the telescopic tube towards the floorhead using a long object (e.g. a broom handle).

Items causing a blockage are usually easy to shake out of the handle.

How the vacuum cleaner bag timestrip® filter change indicator works.

The vacuum cleaner bag filter change indicator is designed for normal household dust. This generally contains a mixture of dust, hair, threads, carpet fluff, grit, etc.
However, if the vacuum cleaner is used to vacuum up fine dust, such as sawdust, sand, plaster dust or flour, the pores of the vacuum cleaner bag will become blocked very quickly. The indicator will indicate that the vacuum cleaner bag is “full” even when it is not.
If, on the other hand, you vacuum up a significant amount of hair, carpet lint, etc. the vacuum cleaner bag will be full to bursting before the indicator reacts.

Replace the vacuum cleaner bag to ensure that your Miele vacuum cleaner can provide the optimum cleaning performance.

The vacuum cleaner bag timestrip® filter change indicator is faulty.
