“Steam ready” indicator light flashes 8 times and “Water container empty” indicator lights up

Switch the steam ironing system off.

Adjust the steam ironing system to its highest working position.

Remove the residual water drawer.

Clean and dry the metal contacts in the residual water drawer.

Switch the steam ironing system on.

Clear the fault as follows:

Fill the residual water drawer with water and put it back in place.

Wait at least 20 seconds.

Remove the residual water drawer.

Empty the residual water drawer and dry it thoroughly.

Wait at least 20 seconds.

Put the residual water drawer back in place.

The steam ironing system is now ready for operation again and will resume the process started prior to the fault.

Switch the appliance off and then back on again.
