Waste container contains lots of water
The waste container of the coffee machine contains an unusually large amount of water.
The sealing ring on the connection between the brew unit and spout is missing or damaged.
The connection fitted with a sealing ring between the brew unit and the coffee spout is located on the inside of the appliance door (see figure).
Replace the sealing ring. A spare new sealing ring is supplied with every new coffee machine. If necessary, you can order new sealing rings from the Miele Customer Service Department.
To avoid future damage to the sealing ring, regularly clean the connection with a damp cloth, taking care not to wipe away the grease from the ring.
Also grease the sealing ring once a month using the grease supplied in the coffee machine’s packaging. You can order new grease directly from the Miele Customer Service Department.
The brew unit is defective.
