Why doesn’t Alexa understand what I say?
Communication with Alexa is based on a few basic rules. Errors can occur, if you start a skill, for example, using conjunctions. If you address Alexa directly, you won’t go far wrong (for example: “Alexa, tell Miele” or “Alexa, ask Miele”). Miele is constantly honing the skill and publishes updates regularly. However, there may be some special words or sentence structures you use that may not yet be stored. Simply try a different wording instead.
Do I have to use specific words when talking to Alexa?
At the present time, there are already numerous synonyms stored for all Miele household appliances. Maybe you call the hob a “stove top” in your house, or the tumble dryer simply the “dryer”? No problem – the Miele skill will still understand you.
