What preparations do I need to make to be able to control my networked Miele appliances via Alexa?

If you use networked Miele appliances and control these via your Miele app, you will have already linked these appliances to your Miele@home account when you set up the app.

If you now wish to control these via Alexa, link your Amazon account to your Miele account when you activate the Miele skill.

You can then control your appliances immediately via our Miele assistant (“Alexa, ask Miele to start the robot vacuum cleaner with the silent programme”) and also add your appliances to Alexa via the devices area in your Alexa app or via the “Alexa, find my appliances”.

You will then also benefit from the option to call up some appliance functions more easily (“Alexa, switch the coffee machine on”) and use them flexibly in individual Alexa routines (e.g. starting the robot vacuum cleaner when you leave your flat).
