Induction hob conversion is a new cooking experience
We chose this entry level induction hob when our original Miele ceramic hob died after over 25 years. We are local so bought this from the Outlet store and the original hole size only needed a minor adjustment for the new hob to fit into it. It was easy to fit after removing our old Miele hob because the working wiring is all there and easy to follow instructions are supplied. Sometimes it's worth looking at the Outlet store and I recommend it.
I love the way this hob looks thin and sleek and don't mind that this model has 4 set heating areas. There are only two of us so we can easily cope with a standard 4 ring type configuration.
If I could change one thing then I would make the built in timer more variable than only minute increments but that's not really important as we have other timers.
We've never used induction before and it takes a bit of time to get used to. For example I still haven't managed a perfectly cooked XL soft boiled egg with a soft yolk. It's a learning curve but I think the speed of cooking and quick cool down far outweigh any small niggles.
We had to throw away every single pan we had and start again. Compared with the hob outlet price the cost of buying new pans is competing for the biggest spend. Bear that in mind when choosing induction for the first time.
