Setting up a static IP address
A static IP address can be required in some networks.
In order to allocate a static IP address to the Miele Gateway, a direct link is needed between the computer and Miele Gateway via a LAN cable. Furthermore, the DHCP function must be activated in the computer’s network settings.
After rebooting the Miele Gateway (approx. 3 min), the computer receives an IP address from the Miele Gateway. By calling up the IP address 192.168.5.5 (service IP address) in a browser, it is possible to set a static IP address.
To set a static IP address, complete the following steps:
- Select Network.
- Select Change settings.
- Select Allocate static address.
- Enter the network numbers in accordance with the IP address, subnet mask and DNS server.
- Select Save.
- Select Log off at the top right in the gateway.
- Disconnect the cable connection between the Miele Gateway and the computer.
- Connect the Miele gateway to the network (router, switch) and restart.
