After the cutlery tray was removed, the locking brackets were inserted the wrong way round.
Check the position of the brackets on the two cutlery tray runners.
Insert the brackets the right way round, see figure.

Door does not close and is leaking
The dishwasher door is difficult to close or cannot be closed at all and is leaking.
A fragrance dispenser is blocking the door locking mechanism.
Keep the front area of the dishwasher clear.
Fit fragrance dispensers, e.g. the Miele Freshener, in the rear area of the upper basket.
The dishwasher is not standing straight.
Check the alignment of the dishwasher.
Check and adjust the feet if necessary.
