The brew unit filter is blocked.
To clean the brew unit, remove it from the coffee machine. Proceed as follows:
Fold out both tabs on the right-hand side of the coffee machine.
Turn the tabs 90° to the right.
Open the door.
Press the button on the bottom of the handle of the brew unit, see Fig. 1 (1).
Whilst doing so, turn the handle to the left, see Fig. 1 (2).
Carefully pull the brew unit out of the coffee machine.
If you cannot remove the brew unit or can only do so with difficulty, the brew unit is not in the home position.
When you have removed the brew unit, do not change the position of the handle on the brew unit. This would cause the brew unit to be out of alignment and you will not be able to push it back into the coffee machine.
Clean the brew unit. Proceed as follows: clean the brew unit by hand with warm water without using cleaning agent. The moving parts of the brew unit are lubricated. Cleaning agents will damage the brew unit.
Clean the brew unit by hand under warm running water without using cleaning agents.
Wipe any coffee residues from the filters with your fingers.
One filter is located in the funnel, see Fig. 2. The other filter is located to the left of the funnel, see Fig. 2.
Dry the funnel, see Fig. 2, to prevent ground coffee sticking to it the next time a coffee is made.
Clean the inside of the coffee machine.
Use your vacuum cleaner to remove dry ground coffee residues in the coffee machine.
To replace the brew unit, repeat the previous steps in reverse order.
Slide the brew unit back into the coffee machine, ensuring it remains straight.
Press the button on the bottom of the handle of the brew unit, see Fig. 3 (1). Whilst doing so, turn the handle to the right, see Fig. 3 (2).
Close the door.
Turn both tabs 90° to the left.
Fold the tabs back in again.
