Milk froth problems

There are problems in the milk frothing process.

The milk pipework, connections or intake tube on the milk container are blocked.

Clean all parts carefully with the cleaning brush.

The steam jet on the central spout has a blockage.

The steam nozzle is located behind the stainless steel central spout cover, see Fig. 1.

Push the central spout all the way down and remove the stainless steel cover by pulling it forwards.

Remove the dispensing unit by pulling it forwards.

Clean the steam nozzle with the cleaning brush, see Fig. 2. To clean, push the brush into the nozzle, making sure it goes no further than the red line.

Once you have cleaned the steam nozzle, push the dispensing unit back into the central spout. Press firmly to ensure the spouts at the bottom connect correctly with the edge of the dispenser.

Replace the stainless steel cover and connect the milk pipework.

Run the Rinse the milk pipework programme.

For cleaning results that are effective yet kind to materials, we recommend using the Miele cleaning agent for milk pipework. The cleaning agent removes all traces of milk protein and fat, and can be dispensed easily and safely using the pre-portioned sticks. Excellent care for many years of reliable service, see Fig. 3.

The milk pipework is incorrectly installed (CM 6x60 – MilkPerfection).

Install the milk pipework correctly. The seam on the milk pipework connector must line up with the seam on the central spout.

The rinse valve insert is incomplete or has been installed incorrectly (CM 6x60 – MilkPerfection).

Install the rinse valve insert so that it is completely pushed in.

Rinse valve is clogged by milk residue (CM 6x60 – MilkPerfection).

Clean the rinse valve (see operating instructions).

The central spout is clogged (CM 6x60 – MilkPerfection).

Completely dismantle the central spout and clean it (see operating instructions).
