  • Considering buying as a gift for both of my children.

    A birthday present, from my mother-in-law (chosen by me), that I am delighted with. Have used Miele vacuum for decades (first arrived with husband and gave its all to DIY) second was starting to suffer (cover over tools broken off!). For about 15years Roombas have kindly taken over my everyday cleanliness. But still need stairs and furnishings missed the easy tool change when using big Miele. Superficially I was cleaner with robot, but now I get the stairs and deep/proper clean easily as well. My new friend is a great solution, even though my personal input is needed - I would not give up my robotic hoovers. This Miele is easier to get out & use and is therefore used more regularly. I can do all 3 staircases and more on one charge (but limited life again encourages use - a ‘quickie’ is fine and appropriate). The smaller rotating head that comes with this version is great for sofa and I can finally ‘do’ the verticals of my stair carpet. There is a rubber like protection on the end of the crevice tool (a great tool) which I view protects my chairs, thanks Miele. Quicker use of dusting brush encourages removal of crumbs from side tables before they get under the glass (much bigger job). If I have a bit of power and time left great for top of skirtings - no dirty bits caught, as when I run along with a cloth. Okay, being honest, better than robot on Persian carpets as well, and actually enjoy seeing (gathers in clear bin) old dust lifted. I am past kids toys being hovered up, but retrieval from this bin would be easy. Hoping clever ‘click’ to clean filter will maintain life well, and little side brush to clean 1st filter is great. I am very pleased with the purchase. If you do not have a robotic vacuum I would consider if new version even more appropriate. I have not cleaned the car yet, but weirdly have a level of excitement about giving it a try. I am expecting it to be quite easy, but will still be an occasional err treat. Have not settled on where to keep but simple plug in cable encourages easy experimenting.
