I would recommend the product but not the installer.
As a brand devotee I chose the model that had the features I sought and that would fit the designated space in my kitchen. Price was not a primary criterion. My wife and I travelled to Abingdon to the Miele experience centre, a 50 mile journey from our home. We were greeted warmly and very much enjoyed the process of choosing and purchasing our new fridge freezer.
Unfortunately the reality of delivery and installation at the hands of a sub-contractor were disappointing. We had specified the option of door reversal but the contractor claimed not to have been told about this. He fetched his tool kit from the hied van and set about removing the doors and reversing the hinges. There was an atmosphere of resentment apparent throughout. When completed they took photographs and left. We are left with doors that are not perfectly in alignment. The angular design of the doors exaggerates this misalignment. Functionally the appliance is delightful, although the temperature of the fridge has had to be adjusted twice after cucumbers and courgettes were frozen solid in the salad drawer and had to be discarded. The fridge is now set at 6 degrees but is still too cold in the drawer.
