A masterplan for regeneration

Owned and developed by Berkeley Group through its St James subsidiary, White City Living transforms a former industrial site, once part of the BBC’s wider estate, into a vibrant neighbourhood of over 1,800 homes.

Master planned by Patel Taylor, an award-winning London architecture practice renowned for its expertise in large-scale regeneration, housing, and landscape integration, the scheme balances urban density with generous green and water spaces. Landscaped gardens, water features, and new pedestrian connections create a sense of openness and continuity, embedding architecture seamlessly within its surroundings.

Sculptural architecture and green integration

CJCT Studios — a multidisciplinary architectural and interior design practice known for delivering innovative, high-profile urban schemes — leads the architectural delivery of Phase 3 of the White City Living scheme, scheduled for completion in autumn, 2025. This stage introduces three sculptural towers, including a 37-storey oval landmark framed by a lagoon and public realm.

Within CJCT’s delivery, select residences — including penthouses and other high-specification homes in The Water Gardens and The Cascades — are fitted with fully integrated Miele appliances.

Design continuity from exterior to interior

The Water Gardens and The Cascades derive their identity from the wider masterplan; landscaped lagoons, garden courts, and expansive glazing that maximises daylight and frames views. Private terraces extend living spaces outward, reinforcing the dialogue between architecture and landscape.

Inside, the same design principles apply. Kitchens with integrated Miele appliances align with this architectural logic — discreet, precise, and enduring. Specification choices ensure that the interiors reflect the masterplan’s emphasis on clarity, proportion, and longevity, with appliances that merge seamlessly into the visual language of the homes.

Amenity and community

Amenities including a cinema, spa, residents’ lounge, workspaces, and podium gardens are conceived as connective infrastructure within a high-density context. They demonstrate how placemaking and privacy can coexist through careful spatial sequencing and material continuity.

At White City Living, the kitchen is designed as an architectural element — tranquil, restrained, and finely detailed. To complement this approach, each residence is equipped with a suite of integrated Miele appliances in Obsidian Black, chosen for their ability to blend into the design while quietly delivering performance of the highest standard.

Rather than being standalone objects, the ovens, steam appliances, and coffee machines are designed to sit in perfect alignment, creating a clean horizon of glass surfaces.

Induction hobs extend this visual clarity across the worktop, while options with integrated extraction preserve open sightlines in the larger, open-plan living spaces.

Cooling and storage, from tall larders to built-in wine conditioning units, continue the same architectural design language: doors close flush, interiors are quietly functional, and the technology works invisibly to protect ingredients.

Even the dishwashers — full-size or slimline, depending on the apartment type — are specified for their ability to disappear behind cabinetry, leaving the interior uninterrupted.
