Are you looking to buy a dishwasher and wondering which one is right for you? Or why you should buy a more expensive commercial dishwasher rather than a domestic dishwasher? Here you will find concise and understandable answers to help you make your choice.
Professional machines are designed for a high wash frequency with large quantities of crockery: they offer significantly shorter programme times, partly due to adapted technology (e.g. more powerful circulation pump). Unlike domestic appliances, commercial dishwashers can be adapted to specific washing requirements: with baskets and inserts for certain types of crockery (e.g. feeding cups or bottles) or configurable dishwashing programmes.
The shortest running times are achieved with a hot water connection and a high-voltage connection.
Connection to a standard household 230 V socket or a single-phase connection is also possible (with adjustment on the machine if necessary), as is connection to cold water. However, both result in longer rinsing times.
Regular maintenance is important for the proper functioning of the machine and to ensure the longest possible service life. We recommend that users regularly check and clean the filters and spray arms, and that they have the machine serviced annually by qualified personnel.
Our service network of around 1000 certified Miele technicians offers you rapid assistance and transparent advice. Thanks to the spare parts carried, around 90 % of all service cases can be resolved directly during the first visit.
Spare parts are available for up to 15 years after the end of series production.

We recommend Miele ProCare Shine cleaning agents, as these cleaning agents are perfectly matched to commercial use, dishwashing programmes and machines, thus achieving the best cleaning results. Please do not use cleaning agents for domestic appliances.
Customise your new machine to suit your needs: for example, with an optimum plinth height for back-friendly loading and unloading. You will also find the right basket or insert for bottles, reusable plastic cups or feeding cups, so that your load items are securely held in place in the machine. When selecting cleaning agents, choose an automatic dispensing system, for example, that does the work for you and dispenses precisely.
The volume of a dishwasher depends on the type of machine and the wash system. In general, fresh water dishwashers are much quieter than tank dishwashers. The noise level can vary depending on the model and area of application.
No, a commercial fresh water dishwasher is just as easy to use as a domestic dishwasher.

Manual or automatic dispensing is available.
In tank dishwashers, detergent and rinse aid are usually dispensed automatically via a dispensing pump.
In fresh water dishwashers, the rinse aid is also automatically dispensed via the internal rinse aid tank. You can choose which detergent to use: add either powder or tabs to the machine manually. Or the dishwasher does the work for you and automatically dispenses liquid cleaning agent.
Automatic dispensing reduces your workload and ensures that your cleaning processes run smoothly and consistently at the same quality level: the automatic dispensing pump adds the correct amount of liquid cleaning agent from an external canister to each dishwashing programme, even if different employees operate your machine. As they have minimal direct contact with cleaning agents, their health is protected. Thanks to the integrated empty sensing, the machine informs you ahead of time when the liquid cleaning agent is running low – so you can change the canister in good time and ensure smooth operation.
The right wash system or model for you depends on various factors, such as the amount of load items, frequency of use, hygiene requirements and the location of the machine.
