The Working Group Instrument Reprocessing "AKI" is a committee of experts who have extensive knowledge and experience in the reprocessing of surgical instruments. The working group operates on an interdisciplinary and intersectoral basis in order to compile expert knowledge on value-preserving instrument reprocessing.
The objectives of the working group are the "development and provision of practice-oriented information on the correct reprocessing of reusable medical devices with a focus on medical instruments".
The magazine informs about practical implementations and solutions for cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation measures in the reprocessing of instruments, about surface and hand hygiene etc., new techniques and research results, about recommendations, legal conditions, but also about infectiological and epidemiological topics.
