Empty and reinsert drip tray and grounds container appears on the coffee machine display (CVA 7xxx built-in appliance). The message is displayed even though the drip tray and grounds container have been emptied and reinserted.
The drip tray contacts are soiled.
Clean the contacts (metal discs) and the space between them carefully, e.g. using a brush. Dry all parts thoroughly.
The contacts will not be able to detect whether the drip tray is full if they are damp or dirty. Check the contacts and the area around them once a week.
The magnet in the grounds container has come loose and is no longer in place.
Contact Miele Customer Service to order a new grounds container.
