We open and close the door of our washing machines 60,000 times. That’s equivalent to a washing machine door being open and closed once a day for 164 years! To ensure our washing machines spin as quietly and as steadily as possible, we run the spin programme for 600 continuous hours with a 1.3kg imbalance load.
