Miele continues to set the standard in kitchen technology by celebrating over 80 years of dishwashing heritage with the sophisticated new G5000 dishwasher range, which offers a series of innovative features to combat common dishwashing challenges. Introducing a new era in dishwashing cleaning technology, the new generation of Miele dishwashers offers unrivalled basket design, low energy and water consumption and the lifetime of unbeatable performance for which Miele appliances are renowned.

Amongst the most cherished of kitchen appliances, dishwashers alleviate the most tedious of kitchen tasks and Miele’s new G5000 range now makes the process even easier through innovative new features which allow cleaning of awkward or oversized crockery and utensils. The art of loading the dishwasher becomes simple through Miele’s meticulous attention to the detail of the basket design, meaning the lower basket is able to accommodate dinner plates as large as 35cm wide. Large platter racks and multifunction glass racks for all sizes of glassware ensure endless load configurations, with the lower basket zone able to be removed completely to allow even large lobster pots to be cleaned efficiently.

Originator of the cutlery tray, Miele’s distinctive innovation has been updated for the G5000 to give even greater versatility. The new 3D cutlery tray features a central ‘drop-down’ section – through simply sliding the control tab the centre of the tray moves down and increases the depth, adding another dimension to create additional space for larger cooking utensils. Longer stem glasses can also now be accommodated safely via ‘easy glide’ basket sides that move across to give greater flexibility – and save additional hand dishwashing too.

The G5000’s ExtraQuiet wash programme at only 38 dB(A) is so quiet it is hardly perceptible, making it the ideal appliance for open plan kitchen living spaces as well as programmes set to run during the night. Capable of running a cycle using a mere 7 litres of water and 0.83 kwh of energy, the G5000’s intelligent load recognition adjusts the programme according to the load, minimising both water and energy consumption. The highest environmental excellence is also assured through the innovative DetergentAgent detection system which senses the type of detergent used and intelligently adjusts the programme accordingly to achieve the best results, every time.

An Intensive Lower Basket programme directs extra cleaning power to the lower basket for special treatment of saucepans and other heavily soiled crockery, whilst also ensuring gentle cleaning of glassware in the upper basket. Unique to Miele, the AutoOpen drying programme produces outstanding drying results via the automatic end-of-cycle door open function, which opens the door to allow steam to escape and air to circulate. Combined with turbothermic drying, this function ensures excellent drying results and a perfect finish.

For the maximum in convenience, the new BrilliantLight LED cabinet lighting system ensures that even the darkest corner of the appliance is brightly illuminated for ease of loading and unloading, and also helps to show off your sparkling crockery to its best advantage. Miele’s exclusive in-door salt reservoir ensures easy replenishment, meaning that maintenance is also hassle-free, and with the new SoftClose door, manual closing and opening is now completely effortless.

To ensure perfect results every time, Miele has also recently launched its new range of dishwashing tablets – the 2G CareCollection. Promising perfect performance on each cycle, the tablets contain rinse aid and a salt substitute for additional cleaning power and meaning excellent results even if you don’t add these separately*. The tablets also contain a special glass-care formula to ensure sparkling glasses and are wrapped in water-soluble foil – so you don’t even have to handle the detergent directly.
