Miele, the German premium domestic appliance manufacturer, celebrates its authority in cooking as the official Kitchen Appliance Supplier to the Celebrity Kitchens at the BBC Good Food Shows in Glasgow (30 Oct-1 Nov), London(13-15 Nov) and Birmingham(25-29 Nov). The partnership extends Miele’s commitment to giving customers the chance to road-test its high-quality appliances at its Abingdon Experience centre, and improve their gastronomic technique through its series of cooking MasterClasses. The Celebrity Kitchen areas will feature over 150 of Miele’s premium cooking appliances, including Miele’s innovative steam ovens, 90cm ovens and gas hobs. The range of appliances will be put to the test with a host of the UKs most talented chefs including Gordon Ramsay, the Hairy Bikers, Mary Berry, James Martin, and MasterChef stars Mat Follas and James Nathan, hosting live demonstrations in the area and showcasing the breath of Miele’s cooking capabilities. At the BBC Good Food Show Birmingham, Miele is also hosting a Cookery Experience stand, giving show attendees the opportunity to take part in cookery sessions and learn how to perfect their techniques while using Miele appliances to help ensure perfect results every time. A host of culinary experts, including The Hairy Bikers, Tana Ramsay, Mary Berry and members of the BBC Good Food magazine team will be donning their aprons to explain the tips and tricks that make a good dish great. This year will also feature the Invention Test, where thirty pre-booked candidates will be given just 30 minutes to prepare a dish using a selection of set ingredients, in front of an audience. They will be judged by previous winners of the MasterChef series and use Miele appliances to showcase the expertise, innovation and passion they have for great cooking. Chris Wright, Miele brand communications manager, said: Cooking is Miele’s heartland and we are delighted to be a partner of the BBC Good Food show. Food and cooking is a central connector between friends and families. Miele’s appliances are designed to always perform to the highest quality so that people can enjoy the cooking experience safe in the knowledge their appliances give them a helping hand to achieve results they are proud to serve and share. Customers unable to visit the Good Food Shows can still take part in a Miele cookery experience through its range of MasterClasses, held at the Miele Experience Centre in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. These are designed to help and support customers during the sometimes daunting process of selecting the right cooking appliances or getting to know their new ones. MasterClasses range from Let’s Do Lunch demonstrations that allow customers to taste the Miele difference, to hands-on cookery courses in which customers create and savour dishes from scratch using a range of Miele ovens, steam ovens, hobs and microwaves. The Simply Cooking classes include An Introduction to Italian Cooking, Preparing and Cooking Fish, Men’s Cook School and Basic Bread Making.
