An Introduction to Italian Cooking

If you would like to learn some authentic Italian recipes as well as develop your kitchen skills this is the perfect day for you. From creating the perfect pesto to bruschetta with a difference the menu is simply delicious.

The day is relaxed and fun. When the hard work is done you get to enjoy all the delicious dishes with a glass of wine or beer.

This course will demonstrate the best ways to source, prepare and cook fish. We will provide you with the confidence to fillet flat and round fish, make up a traditional fish stock and produce some fabulous fish dishes such as: Pan Fried Sea Bream, Whole Baked Sea Bass, Linguini Vongole and Beer Battered Prawns. All of the dishes prepared will then be served in our Bistro over a glass of wine or two! The day is designed to be fun and relaxed and would make an ideal gift for friends or family.

A course designed especially for Men. Develop your culinary skills to create a three course meal. Our Home Economists will support you throughout the day with demonstrations and tips when preparing food. You will go away with the confidence and tools to repeat your experience at home for the family or friends.

Basic Bread making

Basic Bread making

The art of traditional bread making is at the heart of good cookery and one of the most satisfying things you can do. This is a one-day course suitable for a variety of different skill levels.

Using simple but delicious ingredients our skilled Home Economists will guide you through the key skills required to create a variety of different breads including an Everyday White Loaf, Wholemeal Loaf (either seeded or herbed) as well as delicious Cinnamon Spiced Maple and Pecan Buns all of which you get to take home to share with family and friends.

This one day course helps you to understand that eating healthily can be fun, using unusual ingredients, combining great flavours and textures. You will learn about choosing the right elements to create mouth-watering starters, main courses and desserts as well as breakfast and snack ideas.

Thai Cooking

A Taste of Thai

Thai food is becoming one of the nations favourite flavours. This one day course will provide you with the knowledge to create a number or tempting Thai dishes using ingredients such as chillis, lemongrass, coconut milk, lime leaves, galangal and palm sugar.

If you need to be inspired with your Summer Recipes and want to be a little more adventurous, ‘Flavours of Summer’ will certainly get you in the mood. Learn to make a full range of dishes and drinks, ideal for a warm Summer’s Day.

Introduction to Italian Cooking (maximum 12 customers per school) - £99 per person

Course time: 10am till 4pm.

The Miele Home Economists will support you with preparing your dishes as well as demonstrate cookery skills like pasta making and knife skills. At the end of the day you will be given an information pack to help you repeat your experience for your friends and family or impress a loved one with a romantic meal. The pack includes: Recipes and Miele apron.

Stage 2 Practical work in Active Kitchen

Stage 3 Starter in Active kitchen

Stage 4 Active Kitchen (Cookies, Gravy Dem)

Bread Making (maximum 12 customers per school) - £99 per person

Course time: 10am till 4pm

The day is designed to be informal and fun. Enjoy learning new skills and meeting new friends. A Buffet style lunch is served in our Bistro giving you time to relax over a glass of wine before continuing on your bread making experience.

At the end of the day you will be given a pack to help you repeat your experience for your friends and family. The pack includes: Recipes and Miele Apron and all the bread you have baked on the day.

Flavours of Summer (maximum 12 per school) - £99.00 per person

Course time: 10am till 4pm

A fun day that will certainly get you into the full swing of Summer cooking.

Experience fresh flavours with chilled soups, tantalizing salads, BBQ ideas, delicious desserts and learn how to make ice cream, summer cocktails and drinks.

This 1-day event combines demonstration and a practical session to ensure that the ‘Flavours of Summer’ are experienced.

Bread School

This was my first experience of a Miele Cookery class and would thoroughly recommend them to anyone.
