- The appliance does not respond

Check that the mains plug is correctly inserted and that the fuse has not tripped. Some models have a main switch.
- An error message "F .." appears in the display

Coffee makers indicate faults in the display. These can then often be corrected by consulting the operating instructions. After rectifying the fault, switch the appliance off and then back on again.
If the error message still appears in the display, please contact our Customer Contact Centre.
- The coffee is not hot enough

- Pre heat the cups
- Use fresh cold skimmed, semi-skimmed milk
- Cappuncinatore needs be cleaned (dishwasher or cappunciinatore rinsing process depending on the model)
- Correct water hardness has been set and descaling carried out
- Coffee temperature ( for all types, espresso, coffee, cappucino) has been set to maximum (settings menu) Not available on the CVA2660
- Water temperature has been set to maximum (settings menu) Not available on the CVA2660
- Both heating systems are activated (settings menu) Not available on the CVA2660
- Wait for the coffee machine to warm up
- Remove water from clear nipple on the cappucinatore
- Correct temperature for drinking coffee is not at boiling point and it should be possible to drink straight away.
- DO NOT pour cold milk into prepared coffee.
- The amount of espresso/coffee is too low/high per serving

You can set the amount of espresso/coffee brewed per serving via the customising settings in the menu. The procedure is explained under the point "Amount of coffee" in the operating manual.
- Changing the language

To change the language on your appliance, you need to follow the setting/programmable functions options in the operating instruction book (Usually found in the middle or the back of the book).
Ignore any words and follow the flag after the word, which will direct you to the language setting.
